Formed by Lee Sidaway and Terry Ralph, electrical engineers that have excellent reputations within the industry for being hard working and passionate with a wealth of experience. A thirst for expanding our knowledge ensures that we are continuously up to date with protocol and inventive designs such as newer low-emissions vessels or high spec computing systems as the market changes. With a combined 20 years’ experience within the marine industry we have built up a good network of customers and suppliers across the UK and globally.
I started my electrical career training to be an officer in the royal navy as a weapons artificer apprentice. Since then, I have worked for various marine electrical companies, travelling the world along the way. With my leadership and organisational skills, I have developed a strong reputation within the industry as highly skilled project manager, specialising in new build projects and refits. My last job was manging the electrical department of a shipyard completing various projects throughout the UK, with my ambitions and continuous drive to improve on efficiency I decided to start Trident Marine Electrical.
I had my first taste of electrical systems whilst working as an in-car entertainment specialist, fitting and repairing systems to all kinds of vehicles. From there I completed various qualifications including business management and mechanical engineering before moving to specialise in electrical engineering. After completing the electrical installation apprenticeship, I chose to move on to complete a higher national certificate (HNC) in electrical engineering. With my thirst for knowledge still at an all-time high I then went on to complete the higher national diploma (HND) in electrical engineering.
The aim is simple, to improve the level of service offered within the marine industry. We pride ourselves on being honest and upfront with all customers from start to finish of all contracts. To offer an effective, affordable, and complete electrical service to the whole of the marine industry; from new installations through to fault finding and repair on all types of vessels. We both share these views on what it is to deliver a good service. This is the reasoning behind Trident Marine electrical.
