We undertake all console and helm works from small additions to building and fitting complete new consols. We have worked on all types of vessels from vintage steam powered vessels (where you have to preserve the original console and no new holes are to be made) to superyachts (this often involves cutting into some very expensive materials)
Tug/work boat
We reverse engineered the old unit to produce a electrical schematic and redesigned the new layout to fit in the existing space. This was built in our panel shop and shipped to site and installed by our engineers.
Patrol vessel / grey ships
We undertake a lot of government contracts fitting new equipment in consoles for manufacturers, including fire alarms systems, Steering gear upgrades, AMCS systems, Navigation light panels etc.
Remote operations centres
We have also installed equipment in containerised ROCs.
Vintage steam vessel
New bilge alarm systems fitted to bring up to the ned regulations and fire detection system upgrades carried out where space is at a premium and no wood work can be altered.
Luxury yachts
This vessel had a fault on its bow thruster system which was diagnosed and a replacement controller was sourced and fitted to the fly bridge. This had to be fitted carefully to ensure the IP rating of the dash was maintained as it was open to the elements.
Grey ship
Major console works completed to install new steering gear, this involved moving panels around to ensure new panels fitted, manufacturing a new mount to fit a new steering wheel and upgrades to the flying bridge console.
Super yacht
Leather console modifications to install new generator control panels and alarm monitoring control system screen during a major refit. We also tidied up old existing cabling and ripped out old unused equipment.
